"Taking Home Inspection To A Higher Level"

Home Inspections in the Hudson Valley Region

NYS requires home inspectors to be licensed and insured and to follow the NYS Code of Ethics and Regulations and the Standards of Practice. Depending on the size of a home a thorough inspection should take between 3 & 4 hours. You don’t want a home inspector who punches a time clock. You want someone who will care, as much as you do, about the condition of the home you are purchasing. Remember the home inspector is working for you and only you; So choosing the right home inspector is as important as choosing the right home.

InterNACHI Standards Of Practice

We Inspect:
  • Roof
  • Exterior
  • Interior
  • Basement Foundation
  • Crawlspace and Structure
  • Heating
  • Cooling
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Attic, Insulation, and Ventilation
  • Doors and Windows

Prelisting Inspection

Conducting an Inspection before your buyers do, will allow you to see your home through the eyes of a critical & neutral 3rd party. It will make your aware of immediate safety issues or areas that are of immediate concern, such as radon gas or termite infestation. It will allow you time to get reasonable priced contactors or to make the repairs yourself (if qualified) ahead of time so that the defects won’t become a negotiating tool.

Home Inspections With Written Reports

A home inspection complete with a written report from our inspector will give you detailed information about the condition of your home on the day of the inspection. Our report will give you a written record of your home's strengths and weakness so that you can make choices regarding the inspection's findings at any point in the future.

Walk Through Inspection

A walk through inspection is a home inspection without a written report or pictures. It is done by the inspector with you, to give you a better understanding of the condition of your present home or the home you are considering buying. Again it gives you the opportunity to have the home looked at by an unbiased, professional.

Annual Maintenance Inspections

Our annual maintenance inspections assess all parts of your home for any needed repairs. Not only do our annual maintenance inspections help you stay on top of your home's maintenance needs — they'll also alert you to any crucial repairs that need to be completed before you sell your home.

Additional Services We Provide

Water Testing

If you are concerned with drinking water safety in your home, our inspection team here at Eagle View Home Inspections provides professional water testing services including Radon Water Testing.

Radon Testing

Radon is an invisible, radioactive gas created from natural deposits of uranium breaking down into radium, which then turns into radon. Radon can move up from the soil beneath a home and get trapped inside, where it can accumulate to dangerous levels. Having your home radon tested by our professionals is essential in keeping your family safe.

Wood Destroying Insects Analysis

In addition to the home inspection, you may want to have the house inspected for wood destroying inspects such as termites, carpenter ants, powder post beetles.

Septic Dye Test

Dye is used to check for any possible waste line leaks, and we visually inspect the exterior location grade areas of the septic system and septic components.
